Game Beta Tester – Top Tips For Employment

Being a video game beta tester is a pretty cool job I am sure you will agree. Imagine waking up and being excited to go to work. Imagine getting paid for what you love to do?

Ok it’s not all warm sunshine and lollipops, you do still have to work but its the kind of work that any gamer is going to absolutely love.

Being a game beta tester means that you are going to have to find your way around a computer. You will be called on to test various aspects of a computer game, so you have to be able to install cards and joysticks and drivers, you have to be able to uninstall and reinstall operating systems. That being said, if you can do that or learn how to do it then its easy all the way to the bank.

Testers get new builds from the developers on a schedule and each version must be uniquely identified in order to map errors to versions. A game beta tester must be methodical in their approach and have a keen eye for details as you may be asked not only to just sit and play the games but to spot any bugs or problems that will and do arise. Video game testers must have lots of patience and carefully note any errors that may occur as they research and play.

Can you earn $500 an hour testing games? Probably not, that’s probably a few stories with a bit of hype but you can earn $150 a day. That’s about standard. I do know of a student who is a game beta tester and he regularly pulls in that amount. Take a look at the resource box below to find out more about that and discover how you can do the same.

Playing Backup Xbox 360 Games – The Advantages

The advantages of playing backup Xbox 360 games are pretty clear to me, however if you’re not so sure and are still on the fence about backing up your games then keep reading as in this article. I aim to teach you about the advantages of copying your own video games.

Cost

One of the main advantages of backing up your computer games is the money you will save. By making copies of your original disk you are eliminating the chance of having your favorite game destroyed. All it takes is one mistake such as a spillage of liquid or even dropping your game disk when it’s in the case and your game will be no longer playable, which is a complete nightmare and has happened to me several times in the past. When you make a replacement disk though you no longer need to worry about this situation as you always got another disk to fall back on and you can keep on gaming until your fingers bleed.

Collectability

If you’re a hoarder and like to collect things like many people do then you can keep your special edition console game in pristine condition, just duplicate the original disk and then you can simply play the duplicate while the original is safely tucked away in its limited edition collectors box, you can relax knowing that someday you may have the only playable version of the limited edition. All of this is possible thanks to your little duplicate disk.

So if you’re interested in playing backup Xbox 360 games or even Playstation or Wii games I recommend you searching for a step by step guide on how to make your computer play copies.

Copy and Play Xbox 360 Games Just by Using Software

When the Xbox 360 first hit the scene with its sleek design and beautiful green glowing aura there was only one way to play copied video games on the system. This method involved installing an additional piece of hardware to the motherboard of the console, which meant that you either had to be a computer specialist, or you had to know one. Most people myself included don’t know computer specialists and when we find one we have to rely on others opinions to find out if their any good or not. This method is highly expensive and very risky, thankfully there is a more affordable and reliable way.

The Xbox isn’t as shiny now, and has been around for a while so clever programmers have taken the system apart and come up with software that fools the Xbox 360 into thinking a copied game is an original. So you no longer need to worry about taking your console apart or damaging it you can simply download the software, copy your video games and then play them minutes later.

If you’re a video gamer then this truly is amazing news, because we no longer have to worry about replacing original games that we damage, we can simply make copies of our original game disks and if we break them we can always copy the original game once again, it truly is a win, win situation that any Xbox 360 fanatic should have a serious think about. After all why would you want to lose money by replacing our old video games when we can just back them up?

About Halo Reach

Halo Reach is the latest installment in Bungie’s popular Halo series of first person shooter games for Xbox 360. Its release on September 14th 2010 has been highly anticipated, especially with 3 different collector’s editions. There’s the Standard edition, which is just the game, the Limited edition which also unlocks bonus Elite armor in the game and the Legendary edition which includes the Elite armor, a bonus Spartan Recon helmet in the game and a 10 pound statue!

The game is a prequel to the original Halo trilogy, set just before the first game in 2552. Humanity is at war with a group of aliens known as the Covenant. By the this point in the war, humanity has lost most of its colonies. The game specifically centers on the battle for a planet similar to Earth that the game takes its name from, called Reach. The player is a member of a UNSC military force stationed on Reach, known as Noble Team, and is referred to only as “Noble 6″.

The game has been in development for a while, accumulating a lot of new features and has been tested as a public beta version for a while, allowing Bungie to catch most of the game’s bugs before official release. Those keeping watch on the games industry say it’s going to have a big impact, maybe even turning out to be the highest selling game of 2010. Its only real contender for this title will be Call of Duty Black Ops, another FPS game from a popular series. In all likelihood, it’s too early to tell who’ll sell the most.

The most interesting new feature is the addition of Armor Abilities. These are additions to the player’s armor that allows them to use invisibility, sprinting, a jetpack or any of the other abilities on offer. Multiplayer also has the loadout selction option, where you can choose your weapons and armor ability each time you respawn, as well as a system for voting on the next map, rather than the vetoing a random map system Halo 3 used. Multiplayer has players taking a side of the conflict, human Spartans or alien Elites, and competing for kills or objectives.

The prices for the different editions range from about $60 for Standard to $150 for the Legendary edition. If you’re looking to get this game, you’ll want to check online stores, since some offer discounts or promotions that could save you up to $20.
